Admissions to undergraduate and graduate programs are performed based on the exams of National Organization of Educational Testing.

Tabriz Islamic Art University was established in the year adorned with the name of Imam Ali (1378 SH / 1999 AD). In line with the policy of expanding the scientific and cultural space of the metropolis of Tabriz, and considering one of the university’s key missions—namely, the preservation, restoration, and revitalization of historical buildings—under the guidance of the Supreme Leader, the historic and deteriorated buildings of the Khosravi Leather Factory and ten old houses in the Maqsoudiyeh neighborhood of Tabriz have been beautifully restored, reinforced, and revived over the past two decades through the relentless efforts of the university’s faculty, staff, and students.
